REinventing & Playing with Patterns Outline

With Jodys expert tuition students will investigate & interpret how best to utilize existing items of clothing in a creative, efficient and effective way, achieving a wearable outcome which suits the individual.

For those with favourite garments which they’d rather replicate than REinvent you will discover how to make your own patterns.

By keeping the workshops to a maximum of 4, I ensure that each student receives the attention they require to achieve their desired outcomes.

While RyW & PwP students will:

o Obtain and develop sewing and garment construction skills.

o Acquire an understanding of simple tailoring techniques and pattern making skills.

o Discover how to dress to suit individual body shape rather than size.

o Learn how to identify garments and fabrics suitable for certain styles.

o Enjoy the freedom to create garments that are exciting & enjoyable to wear.

There are no set tasks in this workshop. I understand that everyone is different and encourage all students to develop skills at a pace they are comfortable with.

The amount of garments created during this workshop is limited only by your imagination.
